The mod is updated to 1.12.2 and new features are in development, stay tuned in CurseForge or Discord!

Ancient Warfare is an open source modification for Minecraft by Shadowmage4513, maintained by P3pp3rl1y and the AW team that adds a variety of game enhancements including new blocks, new entities, and template based world-generation structure generator.

The mod is actively developed (1.12.2 version) and a lot of new content is in the works.

For those who are only familiar with the 1.7.10 version (which is no longer supported and does not include the vehicle module), expect to find a lot of feature additions, upgrades and almost all of the textures and features are reworked and expanded. Those who played the old Ancient Warfare mod in 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 will find the new 1.12.2 version both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

1.7.10 informations (outdated): Beginning with the 2.x releases Ancient Warfare has been split into a multi-module release. There is a single Core module that all other modules rely on for shared functionality. Each other module may be installed individually, or in any other combination desired. The non core modules are – Automation, NPCs, Structure Generation, and Vehicles. Each of these modules focuses on a single aspect of the mod and may be used in any combination.
