The cockatrice has 2 attacks.The first being it's direct attack,where he hits you with his head,which deals 1-2 hearts so,not very powerful.But his other attack,freezestone will kill you automatically,even with enchanted diamond gear at full enchant level of protection(Protection IV).However the direct attack will come 75%,but the freezestone attack comes 25%.He drops an egg when you kill him,which makes sense since he seems to be a green bird.
